Katelyn Cauthen

Katelyn Cauthen is a dancer, teacher and choreographer based in Northern KY/Cincinnati. Her love for dance blossomed at Expressions Dance Theater in Northern Kentucky when she was just three years old. As she grew up she trained in many dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop and tumbling and competed in countless dance competitions nationwide until she graduated from high school.

After highschool, Kate continued her dance journey across the pond, studying dance at University of Surrey in England. After a year, she transferred to one of the top dance programs in the United States, Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated in 2015 with a BA in Dance and Minor in Business.

Following her studies, Katelyn found her calling was in teaching dance. She taught at a few different studios and started a jazz and tap program for a ballet school in Louisville before deciding to open a studio with her mom, Amy.  In 2019, they opened their own studio called ConfiDance, dedicated to building confidence through the joy of dance. They teach ballet, tap, jazz and acrobatics to kids ages two and up and are so proud to be spreading the joy of dance to every kid that walks through their doors. Kate teaches age ten and up and has choreographed multiple dance routines for their recitals over the years. She also has experience choreographing musicals for both high school and middle schools in the area. Her credits include, Rock of Ages, The Addams Family and most recently, Freaky Friday.

At the end of 2019, Kate’s dance journey took an exciting turn when she discovered salsa and bachata and sparked a new flame in her passion for dance. After training with Andre for a year, Kate spent a month in NYC to train with world renowned salsa instructors and further her knowledge and experience.  With her partner in life and dance, Andre Delgado, by her side, she dove into teaching, performing, and choreographing in this new world of Latin dance.

In 2022, they officially started their dance company, CinciMovement. Kate is so proud to be a part of this movement that is built around community and the love of dance. Andre & Kate teach both salsa and bachata classes, choreograph routines for their training teams and host Latin dance events in the area. Recently, Kate achieved a personal triumph by choreographing her first ladies’ salsa routine, fueling her excitement to further develop the ladies’ team and continue spreading her passion through the art of dance.

Kate’s mission is simple yet profound: to spread happiness and confidence through dance to everyone she meets. Her infectious enthusiasm and dedication inspire others to find their own rhythm and embrace the transformative power of movement.
